SEMEN LUKANSI
Semen Lukansi is an artist whose work is primarily devoted to the northern peoples and northern nature. His extraordinary works attract with their originality and depth, combined with skill and aesthetics. He is a laureate of international and Russian exhibitions, takes part in international festivals. He created his author's school of painting by Semen Lukansi in the city of Yakutsk.
Semen E. Lukansi was born on December 21, 1990 in the village of Onnes, Amginsky ulus of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). Growing up among the northern valleys and harsh mountains, on the very banks of the picturesque Amga River, he learned to see beauty, understand nature and love the ancient tales of shamans.
In 2008 he entered the Yakutsk Art College named after P.P. Romanova. In 2010 Semen Lukansi received Grant from the President of Sakha Republic for excellent studies among students of colleges of Yakutia. In 2011 he was awarded a diploma of the State Assembly (Il Tumen) for his contribution to the development of art of Yakutia. In 2013, Semen Lukansi graduated from the art school with honors. In 2013 he entered Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov.
Semen Lukansi's works are kept in private collections in Morocco, Turkey, Israel, Finland, China, Iceland, Italy and Canada.
